Scottish Orienteering Championships - Individual

Saturday 25 May 2019 Dalbeattie Forest near Dalbeattie.

Dalbeattie Forest, while close to the town of Dalbeattie, offers a significant challenge to participants' orienteering skills. The existing Dalbeattie Town Wood map has been updated and extended southwards towards Moyle Hill in recent months (mapped by DOLM) and the longer courses will visit areas that have not been used since the 1980s. There is an abundance of rock and contour details in the area which should supply a suitable test for the Scottish Orienteering championships.

The assembly area will be located just beyond the boundary of Dalbeattie town and there are a number of local cafes and restaurants should people wish to loiter in the area. There is also the beautiful Solway coast line to visit with particularly fine views to be gained in locations like Rockcliffe and Portling.

Entries for the Scottish Individal Championships are being taken via the SIEntries web site.
The closing date is Sunday 12th May 2019. There will be no entry on the day for championship courses.

There will be entry on the day for four colour coded courses.
White and Yellow courses £5.00
Orange and Light Green £5.00 for students and juniors. £10.00 for seniors.
